But Yoga is so much more than just a physical exercise.
It’s the practice of getting in touch with your body, listening to your body, becoming sensitive to the messages it sends to you, learning to use the breath to let go of much more than stale air, to release tension wherever held. The real benefit includes peace of mind, stillness to connect with your own inner inspiration.
There is much scientific evidence today, that lack of wellness in the physical body is deeply affected not only by what we eat and whether we exercise but also by our thoughts and emotions. Most folk worry far too much, about too many things. This practice of stilling the mind and using the breath to become calm and centred is a great aid to relaxation and thereby to optimum health.
YOGA is a way of life.
Who can do Yoga?
Annie passionately believes that everyone can benefit from Yoga. She would love to see it taught in schools all the way from tiny-tots to University. Children have a natural flexibility (which reflects that fact that they have not yet become burdened with all sorts of beliefs which limit them), which they begin to lose as they grow up.
She believes that we would not have the high numbers of people suffering from backache, osteoporosis and other stiffness and pain if we all became Yogis.
You are never too young or too old for Yoga! Classes are for all levels of ability and experience.
